November book signings scheduled

John Erickson, author of Hank the Cowdog books, will kick off the round of November book signings at Texas Star.

John will sign copies of Hank books, plus his latest non-fiction work, “Bad Smoke, Good Smoke,” an account of deadline prairie fires in the Texas Panhandle where he lives. He will sign books from 3-5:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 5

Other November book signings include:

  • Charlie Russell, Saturday, Nov. 6, Noon- 2 p.m. Charlie is an Abilene-area author who has written several novels. His latest novel is “A Silver Lining in Every Cloud.”
  • Bronwyn Bowen, Tuesday, Nov. 9, 1:30-2:30 p.m. Bronwyn is a former Abilenian who now lives in Austin. She will sign copies of her memoir, “Laughing All the Way.” She will speak at noon that day for the Friends of the Abilene Public Library annual meeting.
  • Dr. Sandip Mathur, Saturday, Nov. 20, 1-3 p.m. Dr. Mathur has written two volumes of “Cowboys and Indian,” a collection of stories from his first years as a physician in West Texas …. coming a long way from his home in India.
